Enough with Gossip: Manju Warrier Approaches Cyber Cell

Malayalam movie star Manju Warrier is to take legal action against people spreading falsehoods and fabricated stories about her personal life. Media reports say that the ‘How Old Are You’ star has approached cyber cell and even the home ministry after unsubstantiated reports and gossip columns appeared in a section of the media and social networking sites about her alleged relationship with an advertisement film maker. A WhatsApp message purported to be of Warrier was also doing the rounds.

Rumour mills are rife with stories that the alleged relationship has even ruined the ad film maker’s family life and that his wife attempted suicide. Speculations increased when Manju Warrier, who is quite active on social platforms, failed to respond to the rumours. Now it appears she’s had enough of such gossip passing off as news and has decided to act.

Warrier is seeking action against online news portals that spread these stories and also wants cyber cell to go after propagators on social media.

Ambili Fathima’s transplant was made possible through crowd funding, but the young IAS aspirant requires further treatment.
