KSRTC Additional Vacation Services to Bangaluru; Kozhikode-Mumbai Service Soon
Vacations are coming up and as usual it will be a mad rush for travel tickets with people looking to spend time with family or go on leisure trips. Those planning to travel between Bangaluru and Kerala will have a few more seats for the taking with the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) deciding to run additional services to Bangaluru.
Aniticipating the Christmas and New Year rush, KSRTC has decided to run additional services to Bengaluru from December 22 to 27. Two Silverline jet services will run from Kottayam and one from Thrissur to Bangalore. From Kozhikode, the KSRTC will run three super fast buses, apart from the regular services.
The KSRTC will also run additional services from Thiruvananthapuram to Kanyakumari. All the regular interstate services to Kanyakumari, Mysore, Ooty, Mathura, Palani and Velankanni will continue.
KSRTC to start Kozhikode-Mumbai service
KSRTC will soon start a Kozhikode-Mumbai service. New air-conditioned multi-axle buses will be put into service to make the long-distance inter-state travel more comfortable. If things go to plan, the service will be rolled out by the first week of January 2016.
According to KSRTC executive director P M Sharaf Mohammed the corporation has approached the Maharashtra Transport Department authorities seeking steps to start the service.
The buses will ply throughy Mangaluru, Belagavi, Kolhapur in Karnataka and Pune in Maharashtra.
